Okay, so, Sophie’s hat.

That hat is like, the hat that her dad made, specifically for her. So every time I see her wearing it it just makes me incredibly happy that she holds this connection to her late father still. 

And then she puts on a stubbornly unaffected face when Howl questions the hat because her dad made that hat and she loves that hat.
